La Bourgogne

Situated in the startling new Carlos Pulenta winery in Vistalba, La Bourgogne promises to become as famous as its sister eatery in the Alvear Palace, Buenos Aires. It`s set amongst the vineyards in a stark, modernist, Incan style building with a wonderful view of the mountains. Food includes a delicious pumpkin soup, veal ribs in Malbec sauce and a delicious rabbit dish, all served with impeccable taste and presentation. The wine list is still “under construction” but promises to be breathtaking and international. In the meantime, satisfy yourself with a Vistalba Corte B from the Carlos Pulenta cellars nearby.
Average price for a meal without wine: 50-60 pesos.

Almacen del Sur

Here everything you eat is grown in front of you and the owners will even take you on a tour of their vegetable patch to prove it.  Located amidst the leafy laneways of Maipu, the eatery is located in an elegantly restored casona with ample gardens and patios to dine upon. Lunch is an epic 4-course meal of small bowls on wooden platters, showcasing the restaurants 35 specialities which include grilled zucchini and broccoli spread.  Each dish comes with a handy little label explaining exactly what you`re eating.  Salad is everything from the garden and is served with homemade paté and seedless grapes with rose petals for dressing.  This farmhouse restaurant is also a cottage sized factory where you can watch them process sun-dried tomatoes and fire-roasted vegetables.  All the products leave in grandma style jam jars and are destined for the shelves of the world´s most discerning delicatessens including one called Harrods in London. Set lunches cost 75 pesos without wine.

Terrazas Carilo

The newly opened restaurant is the latest extension to club Carilo in El Challao. Now you can eat, drink and dance under several terraces, roofs and stars in one location a ten minute drive from the city centre.
Alfresco dining and cabaret come together as a plasma screen shows various divas in concert getting you in the mood for the night´s dancing ahead. Energetic waiters manage the tiered seating and deliver light meat, fish and vegetarian dishes ensuring it´s still possible to hit the dance-floor at the end. As the lycra clad Cher bounces around the stage it is comforting to know you can eat well then burn it off. Should you forget that the night is still young, vodka, speed and fernet are on hand in addition to the good selection of wine.
