From February 20-24, the 6th Annual Argentina Wine Awards, featuring the World's Top Winemakers, will be held in Mendoza. This event will unite local winemakers with the world's top enologists.

The Argentina Wine Awards 2012, is organized by Wines of Argentina and "Corporacion Vitivincola Argentina." This event provides local winemakers with the opportunity to present their wines to world-class judges.

The event consists of three main activities:
-A blind tasting of Argentinean wines done by a world class jury (February 20-23rd).
-A seminary where the jury presents wines that they have produced (February 24th).
- Cocktails will be served while top professionals in the winemaking business have the opportunity to mingle (February 24th).

1- International Blind Tasting: February 20-23
This year the 700 wine limited will be exceeded. For the 2012 International Wine Awards, 733 wines, from 146 wineries, will be tasted.

2- International Seminary "Successful Wines and Styles" (Vinos y Estilos Exitosos): February 24, 8:30 a.m-2:30 p.m
The twelve judge panel will present their finest wine. Guests will try the wines and select their favorite, the session will conclude with a question and answer forum.

3- Cocktails during Award Ceremony: February 24th 8:30 p.m.
The cocktail party and award ceremony will be held at Trapiche Winery on Nueva Mayorga street in Maipu. At this event winner will be presented with gold, silver, and bronze medals.
