174877_174685279259775_7677770_nAfter reading "Comó Enamorarlas con Vino," by Luis Jait and Gonzalo Alonso, Molly Hetz just can't stop raving about the book. Check out her book review, and go out and get your very own copy!

"Comó Enamorarlas con Vino," written by Luis Jait and Gonzalo Alonso, is the perfect coffee table book, wine table is more like it, for both English and Spanish speakers. Within the book lie several hidden linguistic gems that will easily bring a smile to the face of any reader. One such statement is, "There is no candor in wines or in women; both have only one destiny…to inebriate us in the best possible way." From the beginning of the book, Jait and Alonso´s creative use of language provide readers with a creative and captivating explanation of wine' relationship to women.

Throughout the book's pages are references to seduction, taste, pleasure, as well as several helpful recommendations for readers. For men looking for a women with a relationship to wine, Alonso and Jaif say, for "those women who say 'I don't take wine…' that is the end of it. Order a beer, a pizza, talk about football or politics and take her back to sleep, alone, early…." Yet for women who say "I love wine that is when everything begins." These recommendations may not help all men find that perfect someone, but for those wine connoisseurs out there, looking for that special someone, these helpful recommendations may help you find true love.

Jaif and Alonso not only recommend techniques for weeding out those unsuitable women in their midst, they spend the second half of the book characterizing certain wines by comparing them to specific types of women. For instance, ¨the kisses of a Pinot Noir woman are sophisticated, daring; they promise. But don´t always keep what they promise.¨ My question to Jaif and Alonso is, ¨does one become a specific wine because it is their favorite? Or is this status decided by others? Well if I am my favorite wine, then I guess this is me in wine form, ¨The Cabernet Franc woman´s kisses kidnap our souls and keep them captive for ever.¨ Thank you Jaif and Alonso for the news!

With its poetic flow, relationship advice, and well designed layout, "Como Enamorarlas con Vino" is a wonderful book for anyone interested in Wine. Although at times slightly chauvinistic, this is a great find to add to your book shelf, and would even make good toilet reading.
