Salentein
Designed like a temple to wine, this ultra-concept winery includes two wine houses, a modern art gallery, two restaurants, a lodge and chapel, set high in the Andean valley. With a great range of wines on offer, Salentein is a large operation with hits the mark in entry level and premium wines, offering one of the better Pinot Noirs in the country.
Designed by Bormida & Yanzon architects, there is precise design in every element - from the Southern Cross shaped atmospheric wine cellar and the wall to ceiling glass lined restaurant overlooking the Andes to the humble adobe chapel used for services with a local congregation.
Located in Valle de Uco, the winery is about 90 minutes from Mendoza Center. R.P 89 s/n, Los Arboles, Tunuyán. (262) 242-9500. www.killkasalentein.com
